Do something different and raise money for CAFOD by joining us in the annual sponsored abseil down Harlow Water Tower.
The event is organised by the Harlow Tye Rotary Club in conjunction with Dukes Barn Outdoor Adventure Organisation. If you’re looking for a new type of challenge, register now to take part.

Last year, despite wet and windy conditions, our abseilers Amy, Emma, David, Gareth and Patrick bravely climbed the 110 steps of the Harlow Water Tower to make their descent and raise money to support CAFOD’s work.

Year 12 students, Emma and Amy, from Ilford Ursuline, took a break from revising for their AS exams to raise money for CAFOD by joining the abseil, whilst David, 20, from Basildon, who had recently recovered from a brain tumour, was after the adrenaline rush.

Parish Volunteer Patrick, from Grays, took everything in his stride and was totally relaxed, as he took part with fellow Grays parishioners, Howard and Joanna. Pupils from St Peter’s Primary School, Dagenham, challenged teacher Gareth to do the abseil – well done, Sir.
