Legacies fund more than a tenth of all our vital work, enabling us to respond quickly when emergencies strike and to make long-term commitments to communities in need.

There are no quick fixes for poverty or injustice but together we can build a better and fairer world for all God’s children.

Faith in the Future: Marjorie’s legacy of life and hope

Marjorie van den Bosch was committed to helping poor and disadvantage communities. Having supported CAFOD for forty years she continues to play an important part in our work, thanks to the gift she so kindly left in her will.

Seeing CAFOD’s work first hand has helped me appreciate why my grandmother left a legacy. It was absolutely the right thing to do – the best possible way of celebrating her solidarity with CAFOD’s work.”

– Kate van den Bosch

Marjorie’s son and executor, John, and her granddaughter, Kate, travelled to Nicaragua to see how legacies are helping to transform people’s lives and futures in this often forgotten country. Join John and Kate on their journey of discovery to see legacies in action and find out why CAFOD’s support is important to our partners and their communities. Watch our short film above.
