CAFOD’s new Advent calendar iPhone App available to download!

Following the success of our young people’s advent calendar in previous years, this year we’re offering a high tech, FREE version you can download straight to your iPad or iPhone.

Featuring inspiring stories, photos and reflections from our partners and projects around the world, CAFOD’s first app is a great alternative to the usual chocolate filled calendars. Why not instead try a calendar that inspires you to put faith into action for our brothers and sisters around the world this advent?

The traditional Jesse Tree - a tree hung with Old Testament symbols that represent the different ways God prepared the world for the birth of Jesus – has been reinvented this Advent. App users can click on a numbered tag hanging from the tree, to reveal the story, reflection, prayer and action for that day.

The calendar offers so many ways to find out more and get involved with CAFOD, with a great variety of video, social media, campaign actions, and more.

We’re delighted that our already popular Advent calendar is now even more interactive – and more accessible. Get your thought for the day on the train or bus – even in the queue at the shops. Now you can take the message of justice out in your pocket.
