Come and See RE programme launch
CAFOD's education staff welcome the inclusion of units written by the agency in the new primary school core RE curriculum, 'Come and See'.
Primary INSET Coordinator, Angela Warren, attended the launch of 'Come and See' on 17 September and said: "CAFOD is delighted to have written the Universal Church units, as they provide a chance for children to learn about global justice issues and put their faith into action in order to build a just and fair world."
More than 700 schools have already signed up to access the Universal Church resources. This means that every primary school child from these schools, from Nursery to Year 6, will study global justice using CAFOD material for ten hours every year. The resources include stories, interactive online games and classroom activities.
David Quinn, Religious Primary Diocesan Adviser for Nottingham Diocese said: "The Universal Church topics are a fantastic set of resources which bring RE to life for teachers and pupils alike."
