The feeding of the five thousand: a reflection on the CAFOD icon

 

CAFOD has been presented with an icon depicting the feeding of the five thousand to mark its campaign against global hunger.

This unique and beautiful icon helps us to reflect on the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. Take a few minutes to watch and meditate as the symbolism of the icon is explored, and pray with us that we may be able to end the scandal of hunger in a world that produces enough to feed everyone.

This holy icon was produced by Sr Esther of the Benedictine Community in Turvey, Bedfordshire and donated to CAFOD to support the Hungry for Change campaign.
