The year begins on October 11 2012, the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council, and concludes on November 24 2013, the feast of Christ the King.
We share in Pope Benedict XVI's hope that, during this time, Catholics throughout the world will take the opportunity to appreciate the gift of faith, deepen their relationship with God and strengthen their commitment to sharing their faith with others.
We look forward to promoting in diverse ways the four Constitutions of the Vatican Council, as well as the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Over the year, we will be producing resources which are linked to the Year of Faith, for example, our Advent liturgy.
For more information on the Year of Faith, please visit the official Year of Faith website, the website for the Catholic Church in England and Wales, and find events in your diocese.
