Job profile
The purpose of ERO is to provide humanitarian expertise, emergency response capacity, support and advice to CAFOD’s programme staff and partners in different areas of our work. The role will contribute to the delivery of effective and high quality humanitarian assistance, emergency preparedness, and disaster risk reduction in CAFOD’s programmes. Central to CAFOD’s humanitarian response is working with partners.
Job role
The ERO will work with and alongside CAFOD partners in providing support, expertise and developing the long term capacity of partners to prepare for, mitigate the impact of and respond to disasters. All roles undertaken by the ERO will have the aim of saving lives and alleviating suffering of disaster affected persons, achieving peace, security and recovery in accordance with CAFOD’s mission and values.
Your profile
Candidates should have experience in operational emergency programmes which are in compliance with international quality standards and good practices such as Sphere, LEGS, HAP and Red Cross Code of Conduct. A commitment to working in partnership and experience of partner capacity assessments is a must.
