Making donations

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a system set up by the British government which means that for every £1 you donate, CAFOD can claim an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue – helping your donation go further.

You can give Gift Aid donations to CAFOD in two ways:

Where can I send my donation to?

CAFOD, FREEPOST, Romero Close, Stockwell Rd, London, SW9 9BR (No stamp is required but using one will save CAFOD money).

How can I give regularly through monthly donations to CAFOD?

To arrange regular gifts directly from your bank account to CAFOD, visit CAFOD's donations pages .

I've got some clothes/books/computers – can CAFOD use them?

CAFOD does not use or collect goods for use or sale in the UK or overseas.

While it appreciates the goodwill of people wishing to donate such goods, it has no means of selling, utilising or shipping them.

In emergencies, CAFOD’s policy is to source goods local to the place in which they are needed.

This helps the local economy and ensures that the items are appropriate for the particular climate and local conditions.
