In order to help understand the information CAFOD needs to see at different stages of the projects and programmes we support, there is a set of notes for all partners or potential partners

CAFOD does not require a particular proposal format. These key questions should give you a good indication of the type of information that we look for in a proposal or concept note. The level of detail will depend on what you propose to do and the scale of your work

It is a condition of a CAFOD grant that CAFOD receives mid- and year-end financial reports from partners. Reports should be independently validated or, in certain circumstances, audited

Review and evaluation are important learning processes. Learning is about what has worked well and also what has worked less well. A review or evaluation report is one way of sharing learning, to help improve the quality of our work and of other partners’ work.

CAFOD recognises that for any organisation to respond well to new opportunities and challenges, the people in it need to stand back and reflect from time to time. They need to look beyond programmes and projects, and think about how well they work as an organisation

Humanitarian responses (48.19 kB)

CAFOD is committed to maintaining and strengthening a strong and integrated humanitarian dimension to its work. Our approach to humanitarian work encompasses life saving activities and addressing of immediate needs; disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and disaster mitigation; longer term recovery and rehabilitation; and advocacy.
