16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence

Now in its 18th year, this campaign is observed from November 25-December 10 around the world, and calls for the elimination of all forms of gender-based violence through raising awareness

The dates of November 25 (International Day Against Violence Against Women) and December 10 (International Human Rights Day) emphasise that such violence is a violation of human rights.

This 16-day period also highlights other significant dates, including December 1, World AIDS Day .
