With your help, this water filter can save lives

Water filter

It takes seven days for dirty river water to filter through sand, gravel and charcoal so that it comes out sparkling clean and safer to drink. Local people are trained to clean the filter regularly to keep it working effectively.

Film: Life in Kalisowe
This film below shows life in Kalisowe, a tiny village in the Diocese of Monze, southern Zambia. Not having a secure source of water meant people could think about little else, let alone the future.
Now, thanks to a solar power project, all this is changing.
