Fairtrade has improved the lives of millions of people - farmers, workers and their families - in developing countries.

Here are some ways to promote Fairtrade so that people know that buying Fairtrade products can make a positive difference.

Buy it. Look out for new types of products with the Fairtrade mark. Check out the Fairtrade Foundation site for the full range.

If we all make Fairtrade our habit we can play a real part in enabling farmers and farm-workers to end poverty in their own communities

Try it. Encourage people to try products and organise activities to spread the word. How about setting up a Fairtrade tasting stand, breakfast event, wine or fashion evening? Download the Action Guide full of fantastic ideas.

Get it? Explain what Fairtrade is about and how it makes a difference in changing unfair trade

Promote it. Introduce Fairtrade in your workplace, school or parish. Start or join a campaign for your parish or diocese to get certified Fairtrade status (download the Fairtrade parish and diocese guides for criteria and ideas). 4,000 have already done this - with your help, yours could too.

Pass it on. Inspire people to continue buying Fairtrade.

Encourage people to peel it, munch it, wear it, and make Fairtrade part of their daily life.
