International Women’s Day: A fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work
Tuesday 8 March marks the 100th year of International Women’s Day. This year, celebrations focus on education and training for women.
Of the world’s poorest billion people, 70 per cent are women and girls. Education and training are vital so they can get a job and provide for their families.

CAFOD response to UK government white paper on trade issues
The government today published Trade and investment for growth White Paper. In response, CAFOD's economics analyst Christina Weller said: "During the economic crisis, farming and setting up small businesses kept heads above water in the poorest countries."
