On a seasonally cold Monday morning on 28 November, CAFOD Director, Chris Bain alongside CAFOD supporters and staff came together outside 11 Downing Street to present Don’t Drop the Ball action cards to George Osborne.

Robin Hood Tax debate: Watch it here!
On Tuesday 29 March, St Paul’s Cathedral hosted a debate entitled ‘Should we Bank on the Robin Hood Tax?’ Jointly organised by CAFOD, Tearfund, The Salvation Army and St Paul’s Institute, the debate focused on the extent to which the financial sector has a moral role to play in contributing to the common good.

Two CAFOD partners who had been detained by police whilst investigating human rights abuses near Anglo-Swiss mining company Xstrata‟s new Tintaya site in Peru have been released along with six others. Their arrest on unsubstantiated charges came following complaints of intimidation by local security forces.
