CAFOD’s 50th Anniversary: Special Edition of The Tablet
ITV News at Ten anchorwoman and journalist Julie Etchingham is editing the 1st December issue of influential Catholic news and current affairs publication The Tablet, making her the first guest editor since its inception in 1840. Julie, a lifelong supporter of the aid agency CAFOD, took the helm of the weekly Catholic publication this week to mark the culmination of a yearlong celebration of the charity's anniversary year.

Earlier this year, CAFOD supporters lobbied their MPs on the UK Bribery Act, which faced long delays and fears of dilution as a result of intense corporate lobbying of government.
Now, after months of delay, the government has revealed the Act will finally come into force in July this year – a major triumph in the fight against bribery and corruption and their devastating effects on the world’s poorest people.

Big Climate Connection: A big thank you
MPs throughout the country faced lobbying from countless groups of CAFOD supporters on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November. As part of the Stop Climate Chaos coalition, our campaigners took to their constituencies to ask for a strong Green Energy Bill this autumn and for a fair international climate deal in December’s international talks in Cancun, Mexico.
