Get down to business!: 16,000 speak up, Westminster listens
On Wednesday 16 November, CAFOD supporters went to Westminster to present 16,000 action cards to the Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell.

Key Government minister comes to CAFOD for climate debate
Thursday 1 December saw Chris Huhne, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change visit CAFOD’s headquarters in London. Prior to heading off to Durban, South Africa for the UN’s climate talks, Stop Climate Chaos invited Mr Huhne to take part in an online debate on Thursday evening at Romero House.

CAFOD response to UK government white paper on trade issues
The government today published Trade and investment for growth White Paper. In response, CAFOD's economics analyst Christina Weller said: "During the economic crisis, farming and setting up small businesses kept heads above water in the poorest countries."

World AIDS Day: CAFOD partner speaks out

The Korean Government have put development on the agenda at this week’s G20 summit in Seoul. But as rich countries let their own trade interests dominate the debate, poorer countries risk being squeezed out of the picture.

Big Climate Connection: A big thank you
MPs throughout the country faced lobbying from countless groups of CAFOD supporters on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November. As part of the Stop Climate Chaos coalition, our campaigners took to their constituencies to ask for a strong Green Energy Bill this autumn and for a fair international climate deal in December’s international talks in Cancun, Mexico.

Thinking big, acting small at the G20
The G20 countries meet this week in Seoul, South Korea. CAFOD welcomes the group's commitment to discussion on the adoption of a “development agenda” at this summit and calls on the G20 to "think big and act small" through sustainable economic development that puts small famers and small- and micro-businesses at its heart.
