Peace and reconciliation
Diocesan Justice and Peace commissions provide education and training in human rights and conflict resolution through music, poetry and sport events, as well as more formal workshops
Some activities are also carried out around vocational trainings and small livelihoods as related activities.
At the national level CAFOD’s work supports the Bishops involvement in highlighting ongoing problems and working for their resolution.
CAFOD’s programme is funded by the UK Department for International Development. The aim of this programme is to support, strengthen and connect Catholic Church based organisations in their work in support of peace and reconciliation issues.
