Bangladesh Cyclone: Latest updates
CAFOD is working with its partners to provide emergency relief for the survivors of Cyclone Sidr, which struck on November 15, 2007
CAFOD partner Caritas Bangladesh is at the forefront of preparing and responding to the disaster, along with other organisations in the country.
CAFOD has already pledged £200,000 for immediate aid work - half to Caritas Bangladesh, and the rest to other long-term partners.
The initial need is for food, shelter and water, but CAFOD is also committed to working on a longer-term response for rebuilding communities and improving their ability to cope with future disasters.
