This recipe comes from one of Brazil's partners in São Paulo – an organisation that teaches women how to cook healthy and delicious food with natural ingredients

You will need:

100g butter
1 cup of brown sugar
3 eggs
3 diced apples
1 cup oats
1½ cups of bran
1 spoon of yeast
Sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle over the mixture

Beat together the butter and sugar then add the eggs and apples. Mix well and add the rest of the ingredients.

Put the mixture into a greased baking tin. Sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon over the mixture before baking.

Bake until the cake forms a crust.
