Sail challenge: Navigate the English Channel
Aye aye captain! Experience life at sea aboard a 46ft racing yacht, and raise money for CAFOD
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience life at sea aboard the racing yacht Musketeer.
As a member of the crew you will sail across the channel from Poole to the Channel Islands and back again, learning the tricks of the trade from a professional skipper and first mate.
You can join this organised tour as an individual or with a group of friends. It takes place from 9-12 July, or 7-13 September.
Registration fee: £299. Tour costs: £800
Money raised over and above the tour costs will go directly to CAFOD’s work with the world’s poorest communities. So the more you raise, the more people we can help.
The challenge includes professional tuition and guidance, sail training, and all food and accommodation
You will take turns to change the sails, helm and navigate, while your fellow crew mates keep the boat shipshape.
Get your sea legs
Experience the thrill of the sea as you form strong bonds with your crew mates, learn new skills and become closer to nature.
If you keep a good lookout, you might even spot dolphins and seals on your passage!
This four-day challenge is a chance to get your sea legs, refresh your senses and fundraise for people in desperate need.
Go on - take a break in your life to change their lives forever.
To take this challenge, submit the online application form, or email us with your request.
You will receive a letter of confirmation plus a fundraising pack filled with practical tips to help you reach your target.
