Introducing Rio Maracatu

This high-energy and exciting band are really going places – they regularly gig in Rio, their album sells across Brazil, and they’ve been broadcast on national radio.

The band also gets involved with a community project in Rio, where they hold workshops in Brazilian rhythms and dance. In the summer and at Carnival they hold a parade on the beach!

Rodrigo from Rio Maracatu said “It’s great to be part of Eco-carnival with CAFOD! We hope this will be the begining of a long partnership.”
