Team CAFOD at the Tees Pride 10K in 2009 [CAFOD]

Formerly known as Tees Pride, please join us for these two top fun runs in Middlesbrough - there is a 5K run on May 16 and a 10K on September 5

Our six runners in CAFOD vests showed their athletic abilities and raised a total of £1,129.50 for us - more than doubling our fundraising efforts from the previous year.

Our first runner home was Andy Bearne, at an impressive time of 42m39s and he was quickly followed in by Paddy O’Neill, Nick Dent, Joy Shaw, Gamini Wijesinghe and Laurie Haley. Gamini said, “If I can do it, anyone can”!

Race Patron is Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, who said: “I have been really impressed how the Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10k race has grown. It’s one of the fastest 10k races for serious runners and a good distance for fun runners. Almost anyone with some training can manage 10k.

"I can see the race growing and growing and the tremendous support of the people of Middlesbrough around the course has made it a race that I would want to keep competing in.”
