From Poverty to Opportunity
Make a radical difference to the lives of the poorest of the poor
From Poverty to Opportunity is an exciting campaign to raise £15million over five years, in order to:
• double the impact of our work in Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and Zambia
• double our capacity to respond quickly to emergencies around the world that receive little or no news coverage
As part of the Caritas Internationalis network, and through our local partners, we are uniquely placed to achieve our goal to lift thousands of the world’s poorest people out of poverty.
Our Objectives:
- Peace and Reconciliation: creating conditions that make other development work possible
- Humanitarian Assistance: improving and safeguarding access to food; prevention and treatment for HIV & AIDS; supporting victims of sexual violence
- Sustainable Livelihoods: providing skills and opportunities for people to support themselves
