Inter-Faith Programme Manager

Contract: 2 years fixed term

Salary: £34,839 to £38,824 p.a.

Based: London (with overseas travel)

The proportion of the world’s population attached to the four biggest religions is growing….and may reach 80% by 2050[1] .

CAFOD supports local partners to tackle poverty and injustice in almost 40 countries. Much of our work takes place in multi-faith contexts and we are now looking for an experienced programme manager to further the development of our inter-faith programme work.

The successful candidate will manage the development of a strategy for CAFOD’s inter-faith programme, supporting staff to develop inter-faith aspects of country and regional programmes and managing relations with other faith based organisations in the UK.

You will have a good understanding of Christianity and its institutions, and of at least one other major world religion (preferably Islam), gained through working on development or humanitarian programmes in the developing world. You will be a strong analytical thinker, an effective communicator with a proven record of liaising with diverse groups from faith leaders to government officials. You must be willing to travel for a minimum of six weeks per annum.

You will be responsible for delivering and evaluating a range of campaigns, and will help to develop our fundraising plans and strategy. You will need to be self-motivated and driven to achieve targets whilst having a flexible, enthusiastic approach. An ability to build rapport with others is essential.
