Acts confirmed so far
Patrick Monahan
Patrick started off on the glamorous Irish/Iranian/Geordie stand-up circuit where he developed his chatty & friendly, story telling style.
Now a regular on the UK comedy circuit, and fresh from his Edinburgh show Time Bandit, Patrick has also appeared on a variety of television shows across the channels.
"He moves around the stage like a boxer working a ring, covering all angles and staying light on his feet. He is a walking advert for world harmony. Hearts will be broken, socks will be laughed off." - The Scottish Herald, 2005
Jocelyn Jee Esien
A stand up, actress, presenter and writer best known for her BBC sketch show, Little Miss Jocelyn, and eccentric characters such as Jiffy the dysfunctional traffic warden (pictured).
She has won the New Talent Award - Women in Film and Television 2006, and Screen Nation’s Best Comedy Show for 3 Non Blondes.
Jocelyn will be entertaining you with her own unique brand of stand-up and introducing the rest of the line-up on the night.
Stephen Carlin
Long been heralded as one of comedy’s most exciting prospects, skilfully taking workaday, everyman topics and subverting them into routines entirely and unmistakeably his own.
Stewart Lee is a huge fan and recently invited him to perform as part of his Bloomsbury Theatre season: The Ten Best Stand-Ups In The World Ever.
Paul Kerensa
One of British comedy's leading young talents - in just a few short years he has become a regular at the UK's biggest venues.
As a ginger man, he’s battled both prejudice and apathy, and emerged to win ITV's 'Take The Mike' stand-up competition in 2002.
In the same year, he appeared in four new act finals at the Edinburgh Festival, including the televised BBC New Comedy Awards.
Carl Donnelly
Has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new comics currently climbing the comedy ladder.
Despite being a relative newcomer, his confident, conversational style and silly sense of humour has seen him win a host of awards including "Best Newcomer" at the 2007 Chortle Awards, and become a regular act at clubs all over the country.
Stefano Paolini
Since receiving the runner-up accolade in Channel 4's "So You Think You're Funny" Award 2001 and in BBC's New Comedy Award 2002, Stefano has had a constant stream of TV and radio work, which he juggles with gigging four to five nights a week.
He is a skilled impressionist and is currently recording "Headcases" - the satirical series for ITV where he voices Fabio Capello and Lewis Hamilton.
Helen O’Brien & Rosie Wilkinson
Just back from performing their successful Edinburgh Fringe sketch show "Domestic Goddi", a myth-free smorgasbord of female characters, domestic situations and modern-day satire.
Rosie has recently appeared as part of Ealing Live and with The Consultants. Helen won the BBC New Comedy Award for sketch writing in 2001.
