Emergency relief arrives for those affected by the volcanic eruption and Hurricane Stan in El Salvador [Caritas El Salvador]

CAFOD partners are working hard to bring urgently needed help to the communities affected by Hurricane Stan and the eruption of the Ilamatepec volcano in El Salvador in October 2005

CAFOD has pledged funding to those partners involved in bringing emergency relief to the thousands hit by two natural disasters in a matter of days in Central America.

The relief effort is being carried by a number of local organisations we work in partnership with, including the Jesuit Development Service (JDS), Caritas El Salvador, and YSUCA radio, which is part of the Jesuit university.
