            <title>Uganda: rebuilding lives</title>
            <link>http://www.cafod.org.uk/news/international-news/uganda-rebuilding-lives-2011-18-04</link>
                            <description>

The people of northern Uganda are slowly overcoming the traumas suffered following two decades of brutal conflict. The civil war between the armed militia the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), and the Ugandan army, saw tens of thousands of people abducted and 90 per cent of the population forced to leave their homes and live in unsafe, squalid and over-crowded camps, with little food or healthcare. See how Caritas Gulu, with CAFOD’s support, are helping people overcome the traumas of this brutal conflict, return home, and rebuild their livelihoods.

Help people rebuild their lives this Easter: please give to our Lent Campaign&gt;&gt;
