Support and training for HIV/AIDS affected people

The Kwa-Zulu Natal Provincial Inter-diocesan HIV/AIDS Programme provides education and awareness raising in schools, home-based care, and counselling and support to children vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.

It also lobbies local government and welfare departments to support HIV-affected people, for example, through school fees and child-care grants.

Training is also provided in areas such as child counselling and youth and peer-group education . The programme brings together Catholic partners throughout KwaZulu/Natal to provide training and support.
