Bupa London 10,000 Run
Join Team CAFOD on May 31, 2010 (Bank Holiday Monday) in central London for the BUPA 10,000
The BUPA 10,000 is an exciting new 10K road race in its second year; now a landmark on the annual running events calendar in the UK. The combination of famous sights and support from the crowds makes it a great day for all.
Starting and finishing in St. James’s Park and using Green Park as its assembly area, the race starts on Birdcage Walk and follows an anti-clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London.
Runners will pass Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, The London Eye, Cleopatra’s Needle, Tate Gallery, Millennium Bridge, The Monument, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson's Column and Admiralty Arch with Buckingham Palace acting as the backdrop to the start and finish.
Team CAFOD has 45 places in the race - we are asking for people to raise £200 minimum sponsorship to go towards our vital work fighting poverty overseas; helping people living in some of the world’s poorest communities to build better lives for themselves.
Whether you have your own place in the run or would like a CAFOD charity place, we will provide:
- A CAFOD running vest
- Training schedules and top tips
- A fundraising pack, sponsorship forms and your own fundraising web page
- BUPA 10,000 team e-newsletters
- Lots of support on the day
…. Do something amazing!
