CAFOD strategic framework 2005-2010
Showing how CAFOD intends to carry out its mission and the principles that unite us all in working towards a more just world
We live in a world defined by change; change grabs the headlines, it demands our attention.
There is no doubt that the world has changed dramatically in recent years, but in international development, it is perhaps what has not changed that is more important.
New directions
This is what we're about. We plant the seeds that will one day grow
We have been reviewing CAFOD’s work and looking at how to focus our work in the future. This has involved many people, including staff, volunteers and partners.
This document is the result - a strategic framework, outlining our new directions and the boundaries we aim to work within from 2005 to 2010, drawing upon and reflecting CAFOD’s Vision, Mission and Values.
The new style of the framework is intended to signal its purpose as a guideline document that unites the whole of CAFOD around a core set of values, a shared strategic horizon, agreed organisational priorities and common targets for what we aim to achieve together as an organisation, with and through our partners.
With the aim of increasing our impact, these targets require us to be more integrated, with more joined-up thinking and collaborative working.
This framework is not a plan but a tool to help staff and volunteers across CAFOD and at all levels to work in a more focused and effective way.
It should enable everyone who works with CAFOD to see how the part they play contributes to building a more just world.
