Group reflection containing prayers, readings, and questions for discussion. Gold sparkles with promise and allure, conveying nothing of the human cost involved in its production. All too often, the needs and rights of communities living in proximity to a mine are ignored and mineworkers are exploited, enduring hazardous conditions for little reward. Now is the time to call the gold industry to account and to unearth justice

Church service to unearth justice (178.49 kB)
In this service we bring before God our concern for those adversely affected by unjust mining practices. We ask forgiveness for the part we play in the maintenance of such injustice, and join hands with our brothers and sisters worldwide to commit ourselves, in faith and hope, to work for a world of peace and justice. Contains prayers, readings and hymns for a full service
