Philippines: hundreds die in topical storm. Tropical Storm Washi hit Mindanao island in the southern Philippines on Friday night. It caused flash floods and landslides that have killed more than 650 people and driven tens of thousands from their homes. We have pledged £100,000 to support our partners in their response.
