Join our Emergency Response Team

CAFOD's Emergency Response Team helps save men, women, and children caught up in disasters and emergencies around the world.

With your support, we can do more to save lives before disaster strikes, rescue those at the heart of an emergency, and rebuild lives long after the initial crisis has passed.

Having funds available when disaster strikes is essential for us to respond.

In the aftermath of Haiti, with the help of funds from our regular supporters, we were able to pledge £300,000 to get emergency supplies to those who needed them most. Carmen Charles (pictured right) is proof of how we have already helped families affected by disaster.

Carmen Charles and her daughters were at home when the Haitian earthquake struck. The family survived but their house was completely destroyed.

Carmen says: "We need the supplies we are given here, they are so important to us. We are so happy to get it."

Thanks to our supporters' generosity, we're providing basic shelter, food and clean water for Carmen's family and thousands more families who were made homeless following the earthquake. Gifts from our supporters have enabled us to build latrines and provide the sanitation and water purification kits that save so many lives.

You can play a crucial role in saving lives across the world whenever and wherever disaster strikes - by pledging regular financial support to our Emergency Response Team (ERT).
