Meet Simon

I am Simon Holleron, CAFOD in Salford’s Community Participation Coordinator. (C.P.C.) I joined CAFOD in October 2018 and after over 20 years as a primary school teacher. In fact,  I still teach on the days when I am not working for CAFOD. I have also been part of L’Arche in Liverpool with whom I am still associated.

As well as recruiting and supporting our fantastic parish volunteers, I am responsible for having an overview of our school volunteers, supported by our wonderful Education Volunteer Coordinator Briege Sivills. Together we ensure that schools are aware of the latest news from CAFOD and support our volunteers who are visiting schools.

The thing I enjoy most about CAFOD is meeting and working with supporters and colleagues who all have the same goal to create a real positive impact upon the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people.
